Getting to National Heart Centre Singapore

Temporary Weekend Road Closure

To facilitate the construction of a vehicular platform from the existing SGH Emergency Department to the new Emergency Medicine Building, temporary road closure along Hospital Crescent will take effect on weekends, starting this Saturday 24 September 2022 from 2pm, to Monday 26 September 2022 5am.

Vehicles going to National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) are recommended to enter via Hospital Drive.

Vehicles going to the SGH Emergency Dept will not be affected. There will be no drop-off/pick-up at SGH Block 3 including delivery services. Vehicles going to/from SGH Block 4, Bowyer Block Car Park C and National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) will be diverted to use 3rd Hospital Avenue, along Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) and Diabetes & Metabolism Centre (DMC).

The footpath from Jln Bt Merah leading to SingHealth Tower/OCH /SGH Block 3 will also be closed to all pedestrians for safety reasons.

Look out for signage to guide drivers and pedestrians on alternative routes.

NHCS has three basement car parks at levels BM, B1and B2.

Our carpark height limit is 2.1 m.

Mondays to Saturdays
7.00am to 9.59pm: $0.036 per minute, $2.16 per hour
10.00pm to 6.59am: $2.14 per entry

Sundays and Public Holidays
7.00am to 9.59pm: $0.018 per minute, $1.08 per hour
10.00pm to 6.59am: $2.14 per entry

Motorcycles

Mondays to Sundays; Public Holidays
7.00am to 9.59pm: $1.00 per hour (Max $8 per day)
10.00pm to 6.59am: $1.50 per entry


Alternative parking is also available at Outram Community Hospital (OCH) / SingHealth Tower, located opposite NHCS (see SGH Campus map below).

By Train

The nearest MRT station is Outram Park station (East-West EW16/ North-East NE3) and the exit closest to NHCS is exit 6 (renamed from exit F with effect from 25 September 2022).

Note:

From 26 December 2020:
The walkway directly in front of NCCS will close. Pedestrians walking between SGH/NDCS and NHCS/SingHealth Tower/OCH will walk along the new walkway (in blue below) instead.

From 31 January 2021:
The walkway linking NHCS L2 staircase and Eu Tong Sen Street will close. A new sheltered walkway will open along the side of NHCS' building (in green below). 

Signages will be displayed at various locations in advance of these changes.

Monday to Friday: 8 am to 7 pm
Saturdays and Eve of Public Holidays: 8 am to 2 pm
Sundays and Public Holidays: No service 
Frequency: Approximately every 20 mins

Note: On 31 January 2022, the SGH Campus Shuttle Bus Service and Wheelchair Shuttle Service will stop operating at 2pm.

Free Wheelchair Shuttle Service

The complimentary wheelchair shuttle service to and from Outram Park MRT Station is provided for wheelchair-bound patients seeking treatments at any of the institutions in SGH Campus, each shuttle van accommodates two wheelchairs with accompanying relatives.
