The NHCS Structural Heart Disease Programme is one of the leading programmes in the region to help treat and manage patients with structural heart disease. These include the treatment of patients with valvular heart disease (leaky and tight valves) as well as those with abnormalities in the structure of the heart.

NHCS was the first centre in the region to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) for the treatment of aortic stenosis as well as MitraClip and PASCAL for the treatment of mitral regurgitation. In addition, the team provides a wide range of other therapies such as percutaneous tricuspid regurgitation treatment (TriClip and TriValve), PTMC, left atrial appendage closure, paravalvular leak closure, valve-in-valve therapies, amongst others.

The team comprises domain experts from various disciplines such as surgeons, interventional cardiologists, imaging cardiologists, nurses and allied health staff working together to ensure improved clinical outcomes in our patients.
