Comprehensive, multidisciplinary care across the cardiac amyloidosis journey
Cardiac amyloidosis can be complex to diagnose and manage, and may affect more than the heart. At NHCS, our multidisciplinary team brings together specialist expertise to support patients from recognition and diagnosis through treatment, long term follow up and living well.
Cardiac amyloidosis can involve multiple organs and often requires care from different medical specialties. Our programme brings these areas of expertise together to ensure patients receive seamless, patient-centred care.
By bringing together diverse expertise under one coordinated programme, we ensure that you receive the right care, at the right time.

Living well with cardiac amyloidosis
Living with cardiac amyloidosis can affect a patient's mobility, physical function and overall well-being, as well as place practical and emotional demands on patients and their families.
Our multidisciplinary team supports patients beyond their cardiac treatment. Specialist nurses and pharmacists provide education and treatment support, while frailty assessment and physiotherapy help identify and address changes in physical function. Medical social workers provide financial and psychosocial support where needed.
By bringing these services together, we aim to support not only the disease, but the person living with it.
We are committed to advancing the care of patients with cardiac amyloidosis through research, education and collaboration.
Learn more about our research:
NHCS participates in clinical trials evaluating emerging therapies in cardiac amyloidosis, including MAGNITUDE and upcoming ASCEND-TTR.
Our clinicians and researchers work together to generate insights that translate into better outcomes for our patients.
