During your stay with us, our team of healthcare professionals will look after you. Here are some of the staff whom you may encounter during your stay here.

The Medical Team

Specialist (Registrar/ Associate Consultant/ Consultant/ Senior Consultant)

They are our specialist doctors who possess postgraduate qualifications in the field of cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery.

Resident

They are qualified doctors who assist the specialist doctors and senior doctors in their clinical work.

The Nursing Team

Senior Nurse Manager/ Nurse Manager/ Nurse Clinician

They are senior nurses who supervise the wards or clinics. 

Senior Staff Nurse/Staff Nurse

They are qualified nurses who provide nursing care and treatments for you. 

Enrolled Nurse (EN)

They assist the staff nurses in providing nursing care. 

The Support/ Ancillary Staff Team

Patient Care Assistant

Patient Care Assistants assist nurses in basic patient care and general duties in the ward and clinic. 

Healthcare Attendant 

Healthcare Attendants perform general portering and assist in housekeeping duties. 

Patient Service Associate/ Patient Service Associate Executive 

They provide frontline services to patients, including registration, scheduling of appointments and cash collection. Patient Service Associates also assist the doctors in the consultation rooms.

The Paramedical Team

Dietitian 

Dietitians assess your food intake and provide you with personalised advice on what and how much to eat to ensure that you are on a healthy diet. 

Medical Social Worker

If you need help with any matters arising from your medical condition, the Medical Social Workers may be able to help you. They will explore resources available within NHCS and the community to assist patients and their families to better cope with the medical conditions. The services include: 

  • Casework and counselling
  • Care arrangement
  • Information and referral to community resource
  • Financial assistance/ assessment
  • Training and research 

Medical Technologist

Medical Technologists assist doctors in carrying out diagnostic procedures in the cardiac laboratories.

Pharmacist

Pharmacists prepare the medicine that doctors have ordered for the patients. They also educate and counsel you on the proper use of medicine.

Physiotherapist

Physiotherapists provide specialised cardiopulmonary services, education and individualised exercise rehabilitation to promote recovery.

Radiographer

Radiographers help to take images of patients’ bodies
