A/Prof Ding graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1979 and her Masters of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1984 from the National University of Singapore.
A/Prof Ding did her fellowship in echocardiography at the Mayo Clinic, USA from 1987-1988. She is also an Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. In addition, she is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
