Electrophysiology & Pacing

NHCS has a wealth of experience in the treatment of heart arrhythmia, an abnormal heart rhythm. Patients benefit from NHCS' expertise and experience in arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment, especially for complex procedures.

Electrophysiology and Pacing Procedures:

  • Electrophysiological study
  • Pacemaker/ lead extraction
  • Permanent pacemaker, biventricular pacing and implantable cardioverter- defibrillator (ICD) implantation
  • Radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias

Patients with cardiac arrhythmias are seen at the arrhythmia and pacemaker clinic. The clinic provides tertiary service for patients who have complex cardiac arrhythmias (tachyarrhythmias or bradyarrhythmias) and require further investigations. The service also includes clinic evaluation and interrogation of pacemakers and defibrillators that have been implanted in the patients.
