NHCS Heart To Heart Gala 2015

The First Beat

The National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) held our inaugural Heart To Heart Gala with over 300 guests on 6 March 2015 at Conrad Centennial Singapore. The fundraising event raised more than S$700,000 for our Heart to Heart Fund, which aims to help financially needy patients, introduce new life-saving treatments, advance cardiovascular research as well as drive medical excellence and innovation to provide top-quality care to our patients.

Themed “The First Beat”, our first Heart To Heart gala marked the start of NHCS’ fundraising efforts through this biennial event to save lives, improve our quality of healthcare and help financially needy heart patients.

Various avenues were available for fundraising including sculptures acknowledgement (heart-a-sculpture) and auctions. The live and silent auctions featured exquisite works of art like Charisse, a commissioned portrait by Namiko Chan Takahashi which was honored as UOB’s Painting of the Year in 2006; a miniature engraving by renowned Chinese master Chang Shi Qi; a romantic getaway to Bali and luxurious dining experiences by Michelin-Starred chefs.

Our guest-of-honour, Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defence, also presented miniature sculptures as tokens of appreciation to the two heart-a-sculpture donors – Mrs Wong-Mah Jia Lang and Mr Gordon Tang – for their generous contributions to our cause.
