Course objective

This programme aims to enable Registered Nurses (RNs) to further develop knowledge and skills on bereavement and palliative counselling when nursing patients and their family members.

Psychosocial impact of illness
The role, attitudes and behaviours of the counsellor
Counselling techniques for bereavement, palliative care and stress management
Counselling process using modified problem solving approach
Ethical implications of counselling
