Course objective

This programme aims to equip participants with the teaching skills and ability to:

• Integrate the principles of teaching and learning in conducting BCLS+AED session
  
• Identify the roles & responsibilities of BCLS+AED instructors
  
• Develop a teaching plan for BCLS+AED
  
• Conduct a BCLS+AED teaching session

• Principles of Teaching and Learning
• Performance Graph Interpretation and Assessment
• Updates on BCLS+AED
• Manikin Maintenance and Troubleshooting
• Practical Teaching and Assessment

Timing

8am to 5pm, 1 day

Course fees 

$300 (excluding GST)

Target audience

Individuals with:

• Adult who has interest and commitment to instruct BCLS+AED courses
  
• Posses a valid BCLS+AED (Provider) certificate from NRC or SRFAC accredited
  Training Centre.
  

Assessment

• Written Assessment
  
• Skills assessment for:
• Small group practical assessment
  
• Presentation of assigned module (5 minutes/participant)
  
• Interpretation of recording strip
  
• Steps for manikin maintenance

Award certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded:

• An instructor certificate with two years' validity
  
• 4 CPE points
