Course objective

This programme aims to equip participants with the teaching skills and ability to:

Integrate the principles of teaching and learning in conducting BCLS+AED session
Identify the roles & responsibilities of BCLS+AED instructors
Develop a teaching plan for BCLS+AED
Conduct a BCLS+AED teaching session

Performance Graph Interpretation and Assessment
Updates on BCLS+AED
Manikin Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Practical Teaching and Assessment

$300 (excluding GST)
$327 (including GST)

For non-SingHealth participant, there will be a charge of $14.17 for administrative fees.

Course Fees Terms & Conditions

1. Withdrawal, Cancellation and No-Show

Full course fees will be charged under the following circumstances:

Failure to attend the course without prior notice ("no-show");
Cancellation made less than three (3) weeks before the course commencement date; or
Withdrawal from the course without a valid medical certificate.

2. Medical Exceptions

Requests for a refund, fee waiver, or course transfer due to medical reasons will only be considered if a valid medical certificate (MC) issued by a registered medical practitioner is submitted;

All requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to approval by the organisation.

3. Non-Medical Cancellations

Requests for cancellation, refund, fee waiver, or transfer due to non-medical reasons will not be considered. This includes:

Manpower or staffing constraints;
Meetings, training or other work-related obligations;
Changes in work schedules or shift arrangements and
Other personal commitments

Participants are responsible for ensuring their availability before registering for the course. Full course fees will remain payable in such cases.

Additional Terms for Non-SingHealth (Self-Paying) Participants

4. Non-Refundable Course Fees

All course fees paid by non-SingHealth (self-paying) participants are strictly non-refundable, regardless of withdrawal, non-attendance, or failure to complete the course, except under the circumstances outlined in Section 2 above.

5. Final Decision

The organisation reserves the right to make the final decision on all matters relating to course registrations, fee waivers, refunds, transfers, and exceptional circumstances. All decisions made by the organisation shall be final.

By registering for the course, participants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Target audience

Individuals with:

Adult who has interest and commitment to instruct BCLS+AED courses
Posses a valid BCLS+AED (Provider) certificate from NRC or SRFAC accredited Training Centre.

Assessment

Written Assessment
Skills assessment for:
- Small group practical assessment
- Presentation of assigned module (5 minutes/participant)
- Interpretation of recording strip
- Steps for manikin maintenance

Award certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded:

An instructor certificate with two years' validity

Registration Form

For all SingHealth participants, do ensure your Blackboard account is activated at least 2 weeks before the course, as you are required to access it to read through the pre-course materials & watch the practical demo videos.

Theory test will also be conducted via Blackboard on course date itself.

For Non-SingHealth participants, we will be creating a Blackboard account for you. Details will be given at least 2 weeks before the course. For particpant's email, do use an email address that you are able to access via your mobile phone, as theory test will be conducted via Blackboard, and the OTP token 6 digit number will be sent to your email address.
