Clinical Assistant Professor Ruan Wen is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. She earned her Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine and is a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP). She further honed her expertise during a clinical fellowship in pulmonary hypertension at the Royal Papworth Hospital in the United Kingdom.
Her clinical practice centres on echocardiography and the comprehensive management of pulmonary hypertension, including chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). She leads a multidisciplinary pulmonary hypertension clinic, where she oversees a diverse range of pulmonary vascular conditions and administers advanced therapies, including home-based parenteral prostacyclin infusions for eligible patients.
Beyond patient care, she is actively involved in medical education. She serves as Co-Course Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Preceptorship at the National Heart Centre Singapore and is a faculty member of the SingHealth Cardiology Residency Program. Her research interests are pulmonary vascular disease and cardiovascular imaging.
