Adj Asst Prof Ng Choon Ta is an Senior Consultant from the Department of Cardiology and Director of Digital Heart at National Heart Centre Singapore. He specializes in both general cardiology and several advanced clinical interests, including cardio-oncology, advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and echocardiography.
In recognition of his expertise, Adj Asst Prof Ng is fully accredited as a cardiologist by the Ministry of Health Specialist Accreditation Board in Singapore and is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the USA. His pursuit of excellence led him to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA, where he was awarded a Ministry of Health Singapore scholarship to undergo specialized training in cardio-oncology and cardiomyopathy.
Adj Asst Prof Ng holds board certification in cardio-oncology from the International Cardio Oncology Society (ICOS) and is accredited in echocardiography by both the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
Beyond his clinical practice, Adj Asst Prof Ng is deeply committed to medical education and the nurturing of future healthcare professionals. He serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies.
Adj Asst Prof Ng is also an active researcher with a focus on advancing treatment paradigms in heart failure, cardio-oncology, echocardiography, innovation and cardiomyopathy. He contributes to global clinical trials and is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of medical science through ongoing research.
