Clinical Assistant Professor Lau is a Senior Consultant from Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He graduated with Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy from Washington University, St. Louis, USA, and received his post-graduate training in internal medicine and multimodality cardiology imaging at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the leading medical centres in the world. His current clinical focus are Echocardiographic Imaging and Preventive Cardiology. He is the pro-tem Head of Department of Cardiology in Eastern General Hospital.
Clin Asst Prof Lau is deeply committed to medical education, he was previously the programme director for Singhealth cardiology senior residency programme from 2018-2024, and currently serves a core faculty after he completed his PD terms. He is also heavily involved in environmental initiatives, holding the position of institutional sustainability officer of NHCS.
Clin Asst Prof Lau is also a current council member in the Singapore Cardiac Society.
