Temporary Diversion of X-ray Services

NHCS will be upgrading our X-ray equipment at 5D Cardiac Radiology from 8 November 2025 to 27 January 2026 to serve you better.

During this period, all consultation and procedure dates of existing patients will remain unchanged while X-ray services will continue to be provided at the following designated facilities within SGH Campus:

Diagnostic Radiology @ Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Block 2, Level 1 (Blue Zone)
Radiology @ Outram Community Hospital (OCH)/ SingHealth Tower, Level 1

Patients with X-ray appointments will receive SMS notifications, directional guide and staff support to ensure a smooth visit experience.

We are upgrading our X-ray machines. The new equipment will provide better images and a better experience for our patients. During installation, the service will be temporarily closed to ensure patient safety.

We have arranged for X-ray services to be provided to you at nearby facilities to ensure you receive timely care.

This depends on each patient’s case:

Scheduled appointments: Diagnostic Radiology, SGH Blk 2, Level 1 (Blue Zone)
Scheduled appointments (patients on stretcher/ trolley): Please proceed to NHCS 5D Cardiac Radiology directly
Walk-in/ same day requests: Radiology, OCH/ SingHealth Tower, Level 1
Pre-Admission/ CT cases: Radiology, OCH/ SingHealth Tower, Level 1

Please bring your appointment letter, NRIC and medical documents, if any.

For scheduled appointments, you will get an SMS with the new location and a link on how to get to SGH. Alternatively, you can view SGH's map on their website.

If an X-ray apointment has been arranged for you on the day of your consultation, you will receive printed directions. Otherwise, directions are also available on this webpage above.

Our staff will provide assistance if you are unsure. Please bring your appointment letter, NRIC and medical documents, if any.

You will receive an SMS if you have a follow-up consultation at NHCS. After your X-ray appointment, you may ask our SGH colleagues to provide you a wayfinding guide to help you get to NHCS.

If you do not have any other appointment with NHCS, you can go home after your X-ray is completed.

There are no extra charges.

All your NHCS appointments remain the same, only the X-ray location is different.

We will inform you if there are any changes.

Your X-ray appointment is scheduled at least one hour before your doctor's consultation. This gives you time to travel between locations.

You can expect normal waiting times depending on various factors, e.g. the consultation and complexity of patients’ cases ahead of you.

We recommend keeping your appointment to ensure you receive timely care. Postponing your appointment may delay your treatment.

We recommend keeping your appointment. If you still prefer to have your X-ray done earlier during your SGH appointment, please call (65) 6704 2000 and we will check with your doctor before making arrangements.

Yes, your NHCS doctor can view the results. There will be no delay to the reporting process.
