Partner Us to Transform Cardiac Care

Launched in 2010, the NHCS Heart To Heart Fund aims to ensure that patients are able to receive medical treatment regardless of their financial ability. It also supports research efforts in cardiovascular medicine in hopes that better diagnostics and treatments can be created for patients.

For many of our patients, heart disease is a lifelong condition that requires consistent care. In fact, some patients with advanced heart failure may require life-sustaining devices like the mechanical heart assist device, which costs around S$160,000 before subsidy. Your kind contribution to the NHCS Heart To Heart Fund can provide some normalcy in our patients’ lives while waiting for a heart transplant.

Moreover, our research arm, the National Heart Research Institute Singapore (NHRIS), has been looking into how inherited cardiac conditions, heart disease and treatments affect the Asian population. We rely immensely on your generosity through the Heart To Heart Fund to bring us closer to the estimated S$2 million needed each year to drive our research efforts in cardiovascular medicine.

Funds raised from the Heart To Heart Gala will go towards four causes:

  1. Providing financial support to needy patients after they have exhausted all other options.
  2. Subsidising novel treatments for patients not suitable to receive conventional treatments.
  3. Supporting medical research for innovation and improvement of heart health.
  4. Nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through education.
