Course objective

This programme aims to equip participants with the skills of CPR and foreign body airway obstruction for adult and infant victims, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) in an adult collapse victim.

• Infant CPR
  
• Relief of Infant Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (conscious and unconscious)   
  
• Application of AED

• Pad placement

$130.85 (excluding GST)

Target audience

Medical / Nursing / Paramedical / General public with a valid BCLS certificate.

Recertification has to be done before certificate expires.   
No grace period allowed.

Assessment

• Written Assessment
  
• Skills assessment for:
• CPR in adult and infant
  
• Relief of foreign body airway obstruction in conscious adult and infant
  
• Relief of foreign body airway obstruction in unconscious adult and infant
  
• One-man CPR with AED scenarios

Award certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded:

• A certificate with two years' validity
  
• 2 CPE points
