Profile

​Dr Ou Yang Youheng is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspeciality interest in Spinal Surgery, Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Trauma and Acute Care. He believes in holistic care for patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions to promote a better quality of life.

He is heavily involved in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Education, Medical Research and Mentoring.

He was Chief Resident for the Singhealth Orthopaedic Residency in the years 2018-2019 and was awarded the “Distinguished Chief Resident Award” in 2019. He has won multiple awards in Education including the Inspiring Resident Educator Award (2016) as well the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS YLLSOM), Junior Doctor Teaching award (2016, 2017).

He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles as well as presented extensively at local and international orthopaedic conferences. His research work has attracted competitive grants amounting to just under 1 million SGD.

Dr Ou Yang takes a mentoring role in supporting the next generation of future leaders by co-facilitating the SingHealth Residency Leadership Programme.
