Profile

Assoc Prof Liew Tau Ming is a Senior Consultant (Geriatric Psychiatrist) at Singapore General Hospital. He holds a PhD in Public Health, being a past recipient of the National Medical Research Council’s research fellowship.  He has keen interest in Health Services Research (HSR), which stems from his curiosity about the complex nature of healthcare, especially in the context of how human behaviour interacts with the healthcare system.

Assoc Prof Liew's approach to HSR often involves blending an understanding of the clinical context and human behaviour – together with data analytics – to provide less conventional solutions to the complex issues in the current healthcare system.  Through HSR, he seeks to leverage on systems-level interventions to improve health-related outcomes and benefit the older population.
