Heart Failure Clinic

Heart failure is an increasingly common medical condition that affects the older population of Singapore. However, not many people are aware that they have heart failure as its common symptoms such as lethargy and shortness of breath maybe mistaken for normal signs of ageing.

Heart failure can be avoided from deteriorating to end-stage heart disease through a strict adherence to medication, low salt diet and living an active lifestyle.

For who

The Heart Failure Clinic adopts a team approach to treat heart failure adequately through a structured outpatient programme to prolong survival, improve quality of life and reduce hospital admissions. The doctor will optimise medical therapy, identifies patients who are suitable for advanced heart failure therapy and makes relevant investigations.
