NHCS Heart to Heart Gala

Over 500 guests attended NHCS' third Heart To Heart Gala held on 5 October 2018 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. The fundraising event raised more than S$2 million for its Heart To Heart Fund, which supports financially needy heart patients, patients who require life-saving novel treatments, cardiovascular research, and the education and training of cardiac healthcare professionals.

The theme “An Odyssey of Discovery and Hope” aptly depicts our journey of discovery for innovative treatments, although filled with challenges, it also brings with it the promise of a better tomorrow for our heart patients.

The Gala also had the privilege to feature specially curated menus by five celebrity chefs – Julien Royer (Odette), Cheung Siu Kong (Summer Pavilion), Beppe De Vitto (Braci), Melina Yong and Jean-Georges Vongerichten – bringing forth an immersive dining experience for the guests.

The auction also featured paintings of Singapore's premier artists Mr Lim Tze Peng and Mr Ong Kim Seng; prized wines; SIA air tickets; luxurious vacation stay in Philippines, Melbourne and Shanghai, dining experience and gaming gadgets.

Guest-of-Honour, Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance, together with Prof Terrance Chua, Medical Director, also received a gift of S$1 million from Mr Steven Yen, Non-Executive Chairman of the New Toyo International Holdings Limited. This gift will be used to establish an endowed New Toyo Cardiovascular Research and Education Fund to help advance research and support education initiatives of NHCS.
