Fellowship Training in Cardiology Research

Objectives

  • Perform research project and analyses 
  • Carry out assigned dueties under specific projects
  • Participate in clinical research, funding bodies meeting and presentation
  • Participate in paper and grant writing
  • Perform experiments with external collaborators (NUS-NTU)
  • Liaise with clinicians and coordinate IRB proposal submission
  • Coordinate specified research and development project
  • Maintenance of proper documentation of study protocols
  • Maintenance of routine operations and up-keeping
  • Collation and compilation of scientific data for publication
  • To get quotations from the suppliers and record all necessary documentation

6 - 12 months

Admission Criteria

  • MMed, MRCP or its equivalent.
  • Completed 3 years general training in Cardiology.
  • Skilled competency in invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures. 
  • To be eligible for training in Interventional Cardiology,
    • the fellow should have spent 1 year actively performing procedures.  He / She will be continuing an internventional programme in his / her country upon his / her return there
    • the fellow must have already completed an interventional cardiology fellowship and is able to do intervention/calls as a helping fellow
