Life Support Course for Nurses (LSCN) Re-certification

Course objective

This programme aims to provide training and equipped nurses with:

1. Critical background knowledge pertinent to the care of collapsed patients in hospitals and clinics, especially cardiac arrest patients.
   
2. In-depth knowledge and skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
   
3. Knowledge and skills in the treatment of ischaemic heart disease and cardiac arrhythmias.

3. Acute Coronary Syndromes
   
4. Airway Management
   
5. Electrical Therapy
   
6. Arrhythmias Treatment Algorithms
   
7. Drugs and Drug Delivery Systems
   
8. Organisation of Resuscitation
   
9. Post-resuscitation Care
   
10. Cardiac Arrest in Special Circumstances

Target audience

Registered Nurses with valid BCLS and LCSN certificates.

• Airway Management Test Station
  
• Defibrillation Test Station
  
• Megacode Test Station

Award certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded:

• An e-certificate with two years' validity (to be issued within 1 month after course completion)
