The National Heart Centre Singapore's Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) was established in 1999. Over the years, it has grown both in size and reputation, delivering excellent recruitment results and high quality data. It is the largest clinical trials unit wholly dedicated to cardiovascular trials in Singapore and all the staff undergo in-house training and are equipped with Good Clinical Practice knowledge.

The unit runs a number of high-quality trials ranging from phase I to phase IV, in the field of
Acute Coronary Syndrom (ACS), Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF). We also undertake research in area such as diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and devices e.g. coronary stent, balloon, pacemaker, etc.
