Non-invasive Cardiac Imaging, Nuclear Cardiology & Echocardiography

National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) has a range of investigations to detect cardiovascular problems. They include the gamma camera technology for heart scans which reduces scanning time by 75% and a 320-slice cardiac computed tomography which reduces radiation exposure in a heart scan by 90%.

The echo laboratory at the NHCS is a full-fledged facility with 11 machines providing services to inpatients, outpatients as well as patients undergoing surgery in the operating theatre. All the sonographers and echocardiologists are highly trained and have either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification or certification in advanced cardiac technology.
