Overview of the organisational structure, functions, philosophy and objectives of National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS).

Provide orientation to the facilities and set-up in NHCS.

Overview of the roles and responsibilities of nurses and the scope of practice of Nursing in the cardiology and cardiothoracic units.

Overview of the pathophysiology, medical and surgical management of cardiac and thoracic patients.

Observe the pre-operative and post-operative management of patients undergoing various intervention cardiology procedures and cardiothoracic surgery.

Overview of the haemodynamics and cardiovascular monitoring.

Overview of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation programme.

Overview of Infection Control Principles and Practices in NHCS.
