OBJECTIVES
To provide comprehensive exposure to cardiac surgery including operative techniques and intensive care.

DURATION
6 - 12 months

CONTENT

• Participate in pre-operative, operative and post-operative management of patient undergoing cardiac surgery 

• Exposure to standard and complex cardiac surgical procedures from coronary artery and valve surgery to complex valve repair and aortic aneurysm surgery. 

• Exposure to heart failure surgery including and ECMO, assist devices and heart transplantation.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

• MMed (Surgery), FRCS or its local equivalent

• Possess at least three years experience in Cardiac Surgery
