The three-year programme is designed to provide the trainee with clinical exposure to acquire advanced knowledge and competence in cardiology. The objective of this training is to ensure that the advanced trainee is thoroughly familiar with the wide range of cardiovascular disorders, to learn how to diagnose and investigate such cases and to participate actively in their management.

The training will prepare the trainee for subspecialisation in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, echocardiography, nuclear or clinical cardiology.

MMed (Int Med) or
MRCP (Lond, Edin, Glas, Ire, UK) or
its equivalent
